In May of 2005 we attended a wedding for the daughter of some very good friends. These friends surprised us by dancing beautifully at the reception.  They invited us to their studio -- Candlelight Dance Club in Cherry Hill, NJ. In November 2005 we began taking lessons. We are now competition dancers and are having a great time.  Follow our daring exploits on these pages.

The competitions are divided into Freestyles (the individual dances listed below) and Showcases. In freestyles, you are on the floor with other dancers of your level. In showcases, you are alone on the floor dancing a choreographed routine. Freestyle scores are from 1 (more than met the requirements of your level) to 3 (get off the floor!!!). The scores for Atlantic City are the raw scores from the judge - a 96 is very good.  Click on the location link to see pictures.
